Strachen's contemplative practise explores connections between things. Deep listening. A need to express the deeper energy and meaning. Harnessing awareness of the self, relationships with others and with the environment.  Strachen’s work resonates with a love for her environment and the inherent relationship between things. Her work employs repetition, pattern making and a joyous love of colour.

A Sydney based contemporary artist whose multidimensional practice encompasses installations, painting, sculpture and graffiti. 

‘I’ve always known who I am. An artist. When I was three I told my mother “ I am an artist.” this has never changed. My head is always overflowing with ideas…the ones that come out are the noisiest, the most persistent." making art is my way of letting some of these ideas out.’
